Manas Resort sits in Talegaon, Taluka Igatpuri, District Nashik, Maharashtra, India (PIN 422403). You’ll find us just above Kasara Ghat on the Mumbai–Nashik Highway.

The idea took shape in 1988; construction finished in early 1991. We opened with 12 rooms on 16 May 1991. Strong guest response led to year-on-year additions in rooms, facilities, and upgrades.

About 7 acres. It began as a challenging, tree-less terrain. Today it’s a lush, landscaped escape with expansive lawns and a variety of trees—carefully developed without harming the natural contours.

To highlight two unique offerings that define the original Manas Resort: an on-site Petting Zoo and a working Organic Farm. They set us apart and make the experience truly distinctive.

Sprawling lawns for weddings and corporate events, an infinity pool and kids’ pool linked by a 20-ft waterfall, a poolside open-air restaurant, banquet and meeting spaces, games, spa, and more—most with sweeping valley and mountain views.

A gentle, guided way to reconnect with real nature. Friendly animals and birds—dogs, cows, horses, goats, ducks, hens, rabbits, and exotic bird species—are cared for on-site so guests (especially kids) can observe, interact, and feed them safely.

Only residential guests. To protect animal well-being, playtime happens during restricted windows with clear guidelines.

Started during 2020 to offer wholesome, chemical- and pesticide-free produce for a true farm-to-table experience. We also conduct simple farm tours so children learn how food is grown.

Yes—pets are treated like VIP guests. They can stay with you, have their own mattress, and you can order pet food via room service. There’s also a fenced off-leash park. We often arrange complimentary photo/video sessions with our in-house photographer.

Very. The property is fenced and monitored 24/7; children are not allowed to exit without a guardian. There’s a dedicated play area and a large lawn for free play.

Yes. Government-issued ID is required. The property has many quiet lookouts for uninterrupted quality time.

Nature all around, modern comforts, and easy access from Mumbai, Nashik, Pune, Vapi, Surat, and beyond. With activities for all ages, live music on select evenings, and the unique Petting Zoo, it’s an effortless, refreshing break from city life.

Like most luxury resorts, we don’t have on-site driver quarters. However we can help arrange nearby budget stays on request.

Historic forts (Tringalwadi, Ratangad, Kulang), Dhammagiri/Vipassana, Amruteshwar Temple, Trimbakeshwar, Ghatandevi, and scenic spots like Camel Valley, Sandhan Valley, and Ashoka Waterfall. Many guests stay on-property because there’s plenty to do inside the resort.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted. We offer à la carte and value thalis. The resort has a licensed bar; outside alcohol is prohibited.

All year. Monsoon brings dramatic fog and countless waterfalls. Winters are crisp (≈15–25°C; nights can dip to ~10°C)—great for bonfires and in-villa barbeques. Summer afternoons are warm, but evenings return to pleasant hill weather.
